RJD Associates (North West) Limited have been appointed as Principal Designer and Client CDM Advisor on a development project that involves constructing a KFC drive-thru restaurant together with all associated enabling, infrastructure and external works.
The site is an irregular shaped parcel of land covering an area of approximately 0.28 hectares, which is predominantly covered in overgrown vegetation with a small section of concrete slab.
The site is bounded by Jones (GC) Way to the northeast, the car park for an adjacent Frankie & Benny’s restaurant to the southeast, and by a ditch to the north and west, with the northeast margin of the site including a landscaped bund. The north section of the site is noted as a no build zone due to the position of the ditch and associated watercourse.
Key health and safety considerations on this project include managing the overlap and associated interfaces between the construction site and adjacent occupied areas, temporary works, earthworks, contact with live services, fire safety, preventing unauthorized access to the construction site and traffic management, with due consideration also given to COVID-19 and the associated health and safety management requirements. RJD Associates look forward to working alongside the project team to ensure a successful delivery of the scheme.
