RJD Associates (North West) Limited is an established construction health and safety risk management practice that specialise in CDM Consultancy services. Our team comprises health and safety risk management professionals with numerous years of experience in the construction industry, and we have been involved with the CDM Regulations since their original implementation, initially as Planning Supervisors under CDM 1994, then as CDM Coordinators under CDM 2007, and now as Principal Designers under CDM 2015. This means we have a wealth of experience in managing relationships with the various project team members that will be involved throughout both the pre-construction and construction phases of a project.

Company Background.
As Planning Supervisors under CDM 1994 and then CDM Coordinators under CDM 2007 we were the key advisor to Clients on matters relating to construction health and safety and risk management. CDM 2015 has removed the role of the CDM Coordinator, effectively splitting their former duties between the Client, the Principal Contractor and the Principal Designer, who is responsible for planning, monitoring and managing matters relating to health and safety during the pre-construction phase.
Overview and Understanding of Key Client Duties.
The CDM Regulations recognize the influence and importance of the Client as head of the project supply chain and as the party best placed to set standards throughout a project. Because CDM 2015 has removed the role of CDM Coordinator the Client no longer has a key advisor via statute on matters relating to construction health and safety and risk management.
